Everything was super fresh, the Waiters were very nice, fast and very welcoming. I have no concerns.

We then came back from evening meals and had the paella twice, probably my favourite ever paella! So well cooked and plenty of fish and chicken. My parents had the ox tail (twice) and loved it! Our kids also loved the chicken nuggets and breaded chicken and the staff were so friendly. One evening they let us sit in the tapas area for some drinks and tapas whilst the kids had the ninos menu so they're really accommodating.

First of all, we went around 3pm and it was a bit of a rush hour, yet the service was really fast and good. The sardines on the grill were so tender and fresh, I definitely recommend. The photo shows only half a portion so if you want more, make sure to mention the full portion. The fried octopus was delicious and tender as well.

A Spanish Restaurant with authentic Spanish Food in the heart of the town of Nerja
On our first day in Nerja it was a delight to visit La Taberna and Manuel greeted us like old friends, which after 15+ years of visiting the place perhaps we are.
Having been not eating meat during Lent I was ready for a meat based dish and I started with a soup with ham in it. The delicious soup is called Salmorejo, and I was first introduced to it as a tapa here in this restaurant by Manuel's wife Antonia many years ago. It was as rich and delicious as I remembered it. My partner chose an old favourite Sopa de cebolla. The sopa de cebolla was warm, oniony and rich, just as he likes it – it is served here with a big hunk of bread in the middle, sprinkled with a sharp and salty cheese – My partner was very, very happy.
For mains I went for Costillas de cerdo en salsa barbacoa, a lovely fatty rib with a sharp Spanish style barbeque sauce without the excessive sugar associated with the UK version of such a sauce. The meat was lovely, a perfect way to get back to meat eating on Easter Sunday. It was served with lovely crispy sautéed potatoes.
My partner had Chuletillas de cordero, these tiny chops were served with papas de los pobres and mixed vegetables. He said the flavour was absolutely delicious. Maybe things have changed! I read the reviews the whole tourist trap and all but this was not our experience we dined Aug 23 2020 and it was really a good experience. Their prices were clearly stated about 5 Eur for half servings and about 10 Eur for full. The portions were actually large so we took the several half portions and it was more than plenty. They also have a daily 9 Eur 3 course which is not bad.
Calamaris were tasty and not just the tentacles like othe places - about 6 on a half portion plate and they were about the size of a fist each - delicious. Bravas were spicy and their fried eggplant with "honey" was delicious. They also have this round tuna and potatoes croquettes that were kind of a surprise as the whole thing was tuna! Anyway we did eat plenty for four with drinks snd desserts 50 Euros!Lovely little restaurant, great service , worth a visit for the delicious paella..for two people. With a lovely sangria, which wasn't expensive

Amazing pizzas and paella! Great atmosphere with everyone walking by the busy narrow street as you eat. Highly recommend!

Ask for number.......every way you go... Always look for free network brilliant... Kitchen... Some price list for you and food samples...:) in the heart ♥ of old town Nerja... Lots of nice shops around so you can eat and watch if your mum is all you can eat data....far far away in the lonely galactic there was a place.......
We had a diner during the rainy day. The seafood was delicious and the service was fast and understandable.

The food was okay. Calamari was not calamari although it said so on the menu (it was cattle fish , which looks like calamari but is cheaper) They service was a bit slow, they forgot part for our order and after we asked almost an hour ago, they said they had forgotten and brought it afterwards, after some if us were already done.

Visited for late dinner. The personal easily hooked us up, and in the end, we were really glad we came. Food was great, I especially enjoyed the pizza. Overall, everything was perfect, including the people there.

Cosy atmosphere! Nice family restaurant and tasty food! Big portions!
Food was delicious as always! We had the mussels, prawns in garlic and fried mini calamari and it was all cooked to perfection. Great table service, very attentive and special shout out to our waiter Sam who was so friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back next year!
